These red rockS agateware ceramic vases are reminiscent of serrated Rainbow Mountains in Utah. The combination of two brown and white clays thrown on the wheel gives a dynamic flow of color patterns. After the vases were thrown on the wheel, they were heavily altered and hand-shaped like mountain rocks. While being almost dry they were sanded with sandpaper. The vases were high fired and glazed inside.
