The brown, gray color of smoky quartz is caused by irradiation and traces of aluminum built into its crystal lattice. Smokey Quartz is a grounding stone that transmutes negative energies.

My weekend walks on Encinitas Moonlight Beach inspired me to do this body of work. This zen-looking stacked stones CAIRN ceramic vase reminds you of California beach stones.remind you of California beach stones. They would be a unique gift and/or a gorgeous addition to your home decor or garden.
I have developed this finishing technique after experimenting for a long time trying to achieve the desired surface. This stoneware vase is hand-built and shaped as beach stones. While still in a wet stage, the stones were rolled in fine crumbs of dry clay of different colors. Then various slips and under glazes were layered on top of the leather hard clay.
This piece represents nature’s balance showing how imperfect forms can be beautiful and full of meaning.
The vase size is: 11 tall by 6″.
An organic collage of free form red coral and light pink freshwater pearls rotating in intervals creates an interesting flowing pattern. The “sticks” are made from sterling silver wire. Attached to a sterling silver French wire closure.

The nature inspired design of these earrings combines very large hand carved tiger eye leaves adorned with faceted red quartz making a striking dramatic statement. Red quartz is set in sterling silver bezel. Attached to sterling silver French hook closure.
This ring is created using Repoussé metalworking, metal press and hammering techniques. I made the ring by carefully cutting silver sheets from a designed by me template. After the silver petals and the bezel were soldered, the ring was shaped to create fluid movement. The genuine oval-shaped Sleeping Beauty turquoise cabochon is set in a silver bezel. I oxidized and applied patina to the ring and then polished it to give the ring a rustic feel.
The ring is made of a very sturdy 18 gauge sterling silver sheet, has a heavy thick ban hammered band, and is made to last a lifetime.

These vases will add an organic touch to a traditional decor featuring a distinct texture. The off-white vase is made from porcelain clay, the cream color terra siggilata was applied to the outsice surface. The black clay vase was burnished and also has smooth finish though distressed feel. Both vases are glazed inside and high fired in electric kiln. The vase was glazed inside and refried at 2250F.

Rectangle shaped white fresh water is set in 14K filled gold overlay marking the center of the high quality faceted black obsidian strand. The strand is punctuated with a few small gold beads. Finished with a 14K gold filled lobster clasp.
