Large hand carved warm taupe – brown color mother of pearl has an intricate pattern and shape. The carvings are paired with oxidized silver filigree connectors and attached to sterling silver French wire.
The earrings are 82 mm (3.5″) long.
I have developed this raw organic surface after experimenting for a while. Flat round slabs were covered with a thin coat of sodium silicate. the surface was dried very quickly with a heat gun and stretched in a dome shape creating beautiful spontaneous small and large cracks. Two dome shaped pieces were connected into a stone shape.
The vases were high fired and glazed inside. A few flowers will fit perfectly and will be a unique addition to any decor.
The stone vase is 5” tall by 4.5″ wide.
