I have developed this beautiful organic surface after experimenting for a while. The flat top was covered with a thin coat of sodium silicate. The surface dried very quickly with a heat gun and stretched in a dome shape creating beautiful spontaneous small and large cracks.
The stone vase is 5” in diameter.
I used a difficult sodium silicate method to create this beautiful surface. After the skinny form was thrown on the wheel, I applied black slip to a white clay body. When the black slip was dried enough, sodium silicate was painted on the outside and then heated very quickly with a heat gun. I expanded the form from the inside out while spinning the wheel causing the outside surface to crack. After the first firing, I applied thin red shino glaze so that it penetrated in cracks and crevices and then cleaned the form leaving red glaze only in the cracks. The vase was glazed inside and high fired again at 2250F.

These red rock vases are reminiscent of serrated Rainbow Mountains in Utah. The combination of two brown and white clays thrown on the wheel gives a dynamic flow of color patterns. These are functional pieces of art that will add a unique touch to any organic interior.
My strongest inspiration comes from Mother Nature and its magical beauty, harmony, strength and power. My goal in my ceramic sculpture is to call upon experience or emotion.
A few flowers will fit perfectly in these vases and will look beautiful as a group.

The combination of brown and white color clays thrown on the wheel give a dynamic flow of color patterns and reminds of marble stone. After the vases were thrown on the wheel and completely enclosed, they were altered and shaped as mountain rocks. The vases were high fired.
Vases sizes vary from : 3.25″ to 3.75″ across.

I put many hours into developing the surface of these wall vases that reminds you of birch tree bark. The vase has multiple slip applications and then the surface was scored, carved and scratched. The tree trunk has intentional crevices and handmade cracks.
These sculptures are unique home décor and a display piece. They are one of my best sellers. The vases were designed to use as a group of two or three though you are welcome to purchase any quantity. The vases are functional and can be used for flowers.
The birch tree vases measure from 8.75” to 11.5″ tall.

The vase has a dark chocolate ( almost black) distressed finish. This organic nature-inspired vase resembles black volcanic lava. A finishing surface adds a rustic-chic detail to a traditional shape featuring a distinct aged wabi-sabi texture.

Wings of Smoke and Fire. Butterfly Wall Ceramic Art. My strongest inspiration comes from Mother Nature and its magical beauty, harmony, strength and power. Being in contact with nature is of utmost importance to me. I constantly notice new natural forms and transform them into my work.
The butterflies are hand built from coils and slabs . Every butterfly is different, The beautiful surface illuminates deep shades of red, copper, blue and purple. Two larger butterflies have copper wires with tiny small hand blown glass beads resembling butterfly antennas. The sculpture has a hole in the back designed to fit a nail so that you can hang it on the wall and enjoy! The wall hangings were high fired in electric kiln.
The wall sculptures are a unique home décor and display piece. The look gorgeous in a group creating a dynamic flowing effect.

Two dome shaped pieces were connected into a stone shape.
The vases were high fired and glazed inside. A few flowers will fit perfectly and will be a unique addition to any decor.

Handcrafted Ceramic Sculptural Art Bowl | WAVES PETALS

This handcrafted ceramic bowl features an organic, sculptural form inspired by ocean. This form is shaped by my imagination of ocean and wind. It holds the movement of salt air, ocean waters and shifting light in still form. Every curve carries the memory of touch – intentionally imperfect and alive.
Designed as a unique artisan stoneware piece, it serves beautifully as a decorative accent and art object.
These vases will add an organic touch to a traditional decor featuring a distinct texture. The white vase is made from porcelain clay. The black vase is made of stoneware clay, Both vases are glazed inside and high fired in electric kiln. They are water proof. If you put bright cheerful flowers into it, the effect will be beautiful.

The eggshell sculptures are made from porcelain clay; thrown on the wheel and heavily altered . The pedistals are handbuilt from lack stoneware slabs. The natural fern moss is placed inside the shell.
Genesis I is approximately 10.5 ” tall and 9” wide.
Genesis II is approximately 9.5″ tall and 8” wide.
This deep sea vessel is hand-built from slabls and coils. Numerous glazes , stains and underglazes were used for the surface. The pot is high fired in electric kiln.
