Rustic Serving Basket With Driftwood Handle | EARTH DROUGHT
$195.00I like experimenting with surface texture. I like dark or black clays, and I use a lot of oxides. Both give the piece a richer vibrant look, complementing the clay. I called this basket EARTH DROUGHT. It resembles the earth affected by global warming and changed weather conditions.
This basket has a unique organic surfaces. The object is made from black clay and layered black and brown stains and crackle glaze on top creating the dry earth effect. The outside surface was impressed on handmade wood bark mold. The handle is made from stained driftwood and connected by a natural leather cord. I love collecting driftwood. These came from Rialto Beach in Olympia National Park.
Dimensions: 12” long by 4.5” wide (without handles).
