This large vase is hand formed from clay coils and has multiple stains and washes applications. The vase is high fired in electric kiln. It is functional and will look gorgeous with one or two long stem flowers, yet it is an interesting, organic décor piece. it looks great as a stand-alone decorative piece.
The vase is 9.5″ tall x 6.5″ wide.
Infused with moonlight from behind, faceted teardrop shaped genuine moonstones shimmer iridescently with a subtle shade of blue. A dazzling array of tiny, faceted spinel, aquamarine and moonstone gemstones in different shades of blue cluster around large, dreamy moonstones. Earrings are attached to sterling silver French wire closure. The sophisticated and contemporary design of the earrings emphasizes the beauty of the stone giving earrings a unique look.

Most of my jewelry is inspired by nature. These earrings remind me of wild berries. A branch of smooth teardrop shaped watermelon quartz is suspended from a round faceted chocolate moonstone. The little drop of natural smoky quartz dangles from a branch. Finished with sterling silver French wire closure.

This vase was thrown on the wheel. Terra sigillata coats with minerals were applied to dry earthware. The surface was burnished. After the vessel went through first fire, a special resists slip with grog and a thin layer of glaze were applied to the piece on outside surface. The lines were scores through the slip. After raku firing and smoking, the surface was scraped off from the slip exposing beautiful black lines created by smoke. The shiny smooth surface laminates green and bronze pearl colors created by various mineral applications.

The porcelain sculptures resemble seashells though they do not attempt to be an exact replica. The design captures natural fluidity and movement. The surface retains the elegant seashore quality of nature’s work.

This oceania shell horsehair raku sculptural bowl shows one-of-a-kind vibrant iridescent violet pearl, green and gold luster created by the smoke initiating a chemical process.
This horsehair raku vessel is created using a unique firing process. The piece is hand built from coils. The terra sigillata mixed with minerals applied in a few coats to bone dry clay and then burnished creating a very smooth surface. The bowl was bisque fired and then fired again in a raku kiln. It pulled from the kiln while glowing red hot. While it slightly cools down to approximately 1100F, horsehairs were placed on the surface, igniting and leaving black carbon designs. The minerals give a luster and subtle sheen that emanates from within the clay.

These oversized pearl earrings with a contemporary twist are paired with faceted clear quartz set in silver bezel. The earrings are attached to chic stainless steel latch back. Stainless steel is a great alternative to sterling silver. It is anti-tarnish and hypoallergenic.
Pearls are natural white with high luster, unique shape and well matched.
The baroque pearl stones are approximately 30mm X 24mm.

Wide textured band on the bottom is hand stamped. The ring is an oxidized sterling silver giving it a distinctive look. The finishing touch is a thin sterling silver spinner around the main band. It rests freely over the baseband so that it can “spin” around.
